One conversation that changed me was when my mom told me that I worry too much about my future. My mom told me I don't need to have everything figured out right now, and that it is perfectly okay to not know exactly what I wanted to do. That conversation stayed with me because I realized I was putting a lot of unnecessary pressure and stress on myself. Every time I find myself worrying about the future, I remember this conversation and that I have to focus more on the present, what's in front of me and most importantly, enjoy it.
Today in class we discussed about different type descriptive terms and if they were offensive or not.
I learned that some terms I thought were deregatory or offensive weren't actually at all offensive and it was perfectly okay to use it to refer to someone. Also the other way around, some terms I though were okay and inoffensive were actually really offensive to certain groups of people
